The Detroit City Council did not pass or rule upon an ordinance allowing Detroit citizens to possess 1 ounce or less of marijuana legally — even if not for medicinal use or absent a prescription. Rather, the Council did not vote on the proposed ordinance. Rather, a referendum is being put to the City of Detroit voters in an upcoming election. The City of Detroit residents will decide whether citizens in the City of Detroit can possess marijuana legally. What do you think?
